green oak you found me lying on the floor - - - - - - He could not motherfucking BELIEVE that motherfucking moron was so motherfucking stupid that he had moved up to the top of a motherfucking mountain that acted as if it was the middle of motherfucking winter even though it was really the start of motherfucking June. Green was in more than a foul mood as he stormed his way up the mountainside.
Okay. So it wasn't storming.
It was more like...walking.
Okay, so it wasn't walking either.
It was more like...struggling. There, that was a good word for what he was doing. He was struggling to get up the side of a damned mountain. Kind of pathetic, when one sat there and thought about it for a length of time. Green grit his teeth, verdant eyes flashing viciously beneath the arm he held up to shield his face from the cutting wind.
Granted the people at the bottom of the mountain DID tell him he should probably wait to climb it until it wasn't snowing so hard. The towns people had taken one glance at the swirling clouds surrounding the distant mountain of Mt. Silver and told him he'd be an idiot to be climbing it with that weather up there. Green had just scoffed, no mere stranger told HIM what to do.
He was beginning to seriously regret that decision. Mostly because he was pretty sure tennis-shoes were not proper for walking in this snow. His jeans were somehow soaked and frozen all at the same time, all the way up to the knee, and the wool coat he had on didn't seem to be keeping the frigid wind out. Green slipped and nearly biffed it, but stubbornly kept going.
God damn it he would NOT lose to a motherfucking inanimate object.
There that was his problem. Green just could not quit. There was something written into his very system that just wouldn't let him turn back and wait for a storm to finish blowing over. He was going to fucking storm up there and he was going to conquer that storm, and spit in it's face. Which, in case you were wondering, is something only idiots do. Funny thing about spitting right into wind is that it'll fly right back and hit you in the face.
Besides, Red LIVED on top of this mountain.
That got his blood flowing with something like rage. A mixture of jealousy and anger knotted his stomach, and he stepped forward again. He wasn't going to let Red be better at something than him, not if he could help it. If that meant nearly freezing to death while climbing up a mountain, then fuck, it was just a small price to pay.
Green was...shall we say, a tad obsessed with winning something over Red.
The cold didn't seem to be the only problem though, Green grit his teeth suddenly as the ground vanished from beneath his feet in a sheer drop. REALLY sheer. Like, we're talking at least five feet. He yelped in shock as his feet hit the ground, and rolled a few feet before sitting up and brushing the snow off of his hair with his gloved hand. A scowl was clear on his features, but the young man was otherwise unhurt.
"Fuck." He said, his breath misting out in front of his mouth as he spoke, verdant eyes flicking up the drop he just fell from. "Smooth motherfucking move Green, you're supposed to be going up you retarded asshat, not down."
Apparently even he couldn't escape from his insults.
He grimaced, trying to figure out if he could climb the drop he fell from. He probably shouldn't, and he found he physically could not because his hands were shaking too much. He grimaced, and moved forward, shudders wracking his frame as he moved along. Okay, it was fucking cold as shit up here. He had no idea why anybody would ever think this was a good place to live.
"Red, you were never known for your intelligence." Green snarled through chattering teeth, as if the black haired male was possibly around to see him. To be honest, Green didn't even know what Red looked like now. It had been more than three years since he last saw his rival, but recently he'd just gotten sick as all FUCK of hearing about his random mountain home, "But this is off the motherfucking charts stupid."
His shivering, at least, was starting to stop. He was only trembling at different intervals. Still, Green was finding it oddly difficult to focus. He grimaced, stumbling up a drift of snow, and nearly rolling down the other side. Snow in fucking June, stupid mountains with their fucked up weather patterns. He staggered and leaned against a tree, rubbing his head.
Fuck I'm tired. Green groaned, he was, to be honest with you. Not exhausted like you'd expect after trekking your way up a motherfucking mountainside, but honest to god sleepy. Like he was curled up in front of a fire or something, or underneath a cozy blanket...oh hey, hold on, that was an interesting thing to note.
He wasn't cold any more. He was actually feeling oddly...warm. Like the sun wasn't shining, and he was aware that the wind was still howling and stuff, but he wasn't cold. He wasn't even shivering anymore. He was just standing, with his head lolling forward as if he was going to fall asleep. Green slowly sank to his knees, distantly marvelling at how...the snow wasn't even feeling cold.
I should get out Arcanine. He thought, he wasn't sure why he did though. He wasn't cold, after all. His mind was just saying that this would be a good plan, but he couldn't seem to get his fingers to press the button on the Pokeball, and he shut his eyes, slumping forward in the snow. Just...one little nap...that's...all I need...
You know, freezing to death is one of the most pleasant ways to die. In the final stages of hypothermia the body quits feeling cold. Some chemicals are released in your head, a defense mechanism of sorts, and you actually feel quite warm toward the end. Most of the heat from the outer extremities slowly leaves to warm merely the core of your body, the organs and important things over fingers and toes. This is why people who freeze to death often die in their sleep.

It was interesting how a person could adapt.
How they could adapt to such unforgiving weather and harsh terrain. How the cold could be second nature to them, how they could shrug off a jacket in the middle of a blizzard because they were so used to it.
Red was basically the picture of adaptation. The male had survived on the summit of Mt. Silver for years; three, more, who was counting really? He lost track of all time to be honest and instead followed the time by the sun rising and falling in the sky. He had no sense of what year it was, or month, but he had an idea on the season.
He assumed it was summer, as the coldest blizzards started in winter. Spring, they were shorter and stopped sooner, and summer was harsh and the storms spontaneous, but they were shorter than winter's snowstorms, but still longer than spring's. Fall was slight, the temperature more to note than the snow, but it was all a balance, Red thought. He had no reason to complain, when he had chosen to move up here.
He could always go back. Red shuddered, but it wasn't because of the cold. To be honest he didn't particularly WANT to go back. Maybe it was because of the people who would trip over themselves to see him. He wouldn't be able to go out much in public, he'd have to stay in whatever residence he had chosen.. The male was snapped from his thoughts by the little electric mouse on his shoulder.
Red looked over at the creature with curiosity, as he had been poked with a yellow paw. His gaze was almost easy, relaxed despite the howling weather around them. He had left the cave earlier, he got an odd feeling to go out and just explore. The male rolled his shoulders slightly as he held on to the brim of his hat, willing it not to fly away in the harsh weather.
Pikachu, however, seemed focused on something in the distance. A scent, he would assume, as Pokemon were still more advanced than human beings with their senses and abilities. His crimson eyes darted to the tree where the creature was pointing, zeroing in on what was slumped in the snow there. For a moment he was puzzled; rightly so, he hadn't seen that particular person in.. a while..
Then again he hadn't seen really anyone in a while, except for the rare trainer that came to visit him and battle. They were inexperienced, but they had good potential. Almost warily he made his way toward the figure, footsteps careful but sure. After all, he knew this whole mountain like the back of his hand.
Surely enough it was his rival, his enemy. Red blinked in shock, eyes widening a fraction before he tilted his head to a side. Pikachu bounded off his shoulder to lightly prod Green's arm. >>Is he.. dead?<< The retired Champion focused, noting that even though the other wasn't moving, not even shivering, that there was still color in his cheeks, his skin. The silent young man narrowed his eyes before kneeling beside Green, feeling the pulse on his rival's wrist.
"Alive," he murmured, as if to himself. Green was feeling extremely cold though, and he reached for his belt, pulling out a Pokeball. This was bad, he knew that much. Pikachu was looking panicked, his worried gaze flashing between Red and Green. Elegantly the retired Champion flicked the ball up in the air, and out of it came a beam of white light, which quickly took the shape of a large dragon-like Pokemon.
The flame on the tip of its tail flared for a moment, adjusting to the temperature quickly. >>Something you need?<< The new arrival asked his trainer, eyes flashing to the slumped figure in the snow before glancing back at Red. The trainer sighed, knowing he had to get the boy back to the cave where it was warm. Red had certainly gotten stronger during his time on the mountain, which is why he could pick up Green with a bit of a struggle. The trainer grunted, ruby eyes flickering with the effort of it.
Charizard walked forward, as if to help him with what he was carrying, only to have Green placed in his arms. The orange dragon blinked, looking down at the brunette in confusion, then looked back up at Red and nodded. He beckoned with his head to Pikachu, who leapt up back on his shoulder after a moment, and clambered onto the back of the Fire-type. >>The cave?<< Charizard asked, and a nod out of his peripheral vision urged him to take flight.
Red's face was almost impassive, and Pikachu, at his shoulder, looked slightly worried. >>He's going to be okay.. right?<< The trainer winced slightly but didn't respond, as usual. To be honest he didn't know, and lying to his best friend would be extremely painful for him. He didn't want to let the little creature down.
Once they arrived Red dropped off the dragon-like Pokemon's back and gestured to get inside the cave, a fire already popping within the stony residence. It wasn't like anything flammable was in the cave beside the fire, and besides, he liked coming back to a warm cave. Though he had adapted to cold it didn't mean he didn't like heat.
Directing Charizard to lie Green down beside the fire, he looked around his home for a moment, his cherry eyes landing on his target; a thick blanket, used for emergencies. Picking it up without a second thought, he draped it over his rival, making sure to tuck it under him so that any stray flames wouldn't touch the material and set fire to it.. and Green himself.
Briefly amused, a smirk stole the form of his lips, then left just as quickly. Pikachu, still on his shoulder, was watching Green with an owl-like gaze, as if waiting for the other boy to jump up and do a dance. Red, ever-calm, sat at the opposite wall of the fire while the rest of his Pokemon slept within the cave nearby. He had done all he could for the brunette at the moment, it was up to Green to do the rest.

green oak you found me lying on the floor - - - - - - Dreams are...funny things.
Alright, so maybe that was a lie. Dreams could be the exact opposite of funny. They could be some form of torturous torment. Memories you don't want to relive playing on repeat in your head. Sometimes people swear up and down that they can predict things, even deaths. Others still say that dreams where you fall, that if you hit the bottom during that dreamfall, you'll end up dying in your sleep.
Of course that's stupid, how would those people know? After all, if someone dies in their sleep there's nothing suggesting it was a dream induced fall that ended up doing it. What a retarded freaking subject to get on. Why the motherfuck are we even discussing this right now? Come on, let's get our asses on some semi-right track at least.
This dream, the reason that whole speel happened to have started, wasn't really a bad one. It was lucid, and it wasn't doing much more than showing Green the things he'd said and done in his life. Memories that he had overlooked came back with startling clarity. The time he'd decided that he wasn't going to be a friend to Red before, when he had literally knocked aside the raven's hand that was extended in friendship...
The time he was standing in the lab, the flourescent lighting casting harsh glares off of everything. Green had always hated flourescent lights. They were too bright, somehow unnatural in the fact that they seemed to leech the natural colors out of everything. There was an artificial thing to that light. Like the things cast beneath it were cold, distant, false.
He remembered standing there under that harsh lighting, his fists clenched at his side as his grandfather circled Red. He remembered the boy chosing a Pokeball, he remembered picking his own starter and immediately challenging Red to a battle. He remembered losing, his first loss of so many by the raven who had once been his friend.
He remembered capturing his first Pokemon, he remembered the blossomings of obsession. The way his mind twisted from 'I want to be a Champion' to 'I have to beat him'.
Had his life really been so consumed? Looking back on it now made Green ever so slightly sad. How wonderful, he tossed away his life trying to kick the ass of someone who he had left in the dust. Yes, he remembered from the first memory that flashed beneath his lids, he had been the one to start the rift. The one that said that this friendship was nothing.
It hadn't been Red's fault, that his grandfather cared for him more...
God DAMN it what was he saying? He tried to shove the thoughts away. Even in a dream he didn't want to accept them. He couldn't bring himself to think that he was the one at fault. That he wasn't supposed to hate Red, that the fact that Red hated him was all his fault. Something like pain shredded through him, and the lucid dream took such a quick turn that he felt like he had fallen into a pit.
Don't hit the bottom, you might die.
Before he could slam into the ground his dream had conjured up for him, he was on his feet. The change was so stunning that it made him sick, but he was still feeling pain ebb through him. Hate him, yes, there was no doubt that Red hated him. Not that Green could blame him. The asshole had EVERY right to hate him, hadn't he motherfucking tried to smash him at every corner?
No, he had to ignore that. Had to look passed it somehow and pretend that it didn't exist. Like a child hiding from monsters by covering their head by blankets. Somehow if you can't see it, if it can't see you, it can't possibly exist. It can't possibly be of harm. Stupid, childish, fuck, it's idiotic. Moronic, god damn this hellish dream was smashing his self-esteem to fucking pieces.
He wasn't supposed to give a shit. Damn it, he DIDN'T.
Denial, shove it back into a corner and don't look at it. But the thoughts were like fucking spiders. Persistent spiders, that he happened to be terrified of. With their creepy crawly legs and eight freaking eyes. Something that has eight eyes is fucking MESSED up alright? Just, no. And they have fangs. Dripping venomous fangs. That's what these thoughts were like.
And fuck if he couldnt' squish his stupid spider-thoughts.
Why was he reflecting on this shit anyways? Green wondered suddenly if he was dying. It hadn't even occurred to him until now, but didn't they always say that your life flashed before your eyes before you died? Did it matter even a lick if you were awake for said flashing? That seemed to suggest some naked parts showing, and Green didn't want his mind steering him down THAT road of dreams.
It was strange because he could control it, well that's what a lucid dream is for I guess, but still.
Yet he couldn't control it too. Fuck this shit, who cares? It's a dream, nobody cares about the dream. Everybody cares about what happens after the dream. But fuck no, hahaha, you thought that this meant things would change didn't you? That you'd be reading some shit relevantly important to the post. Well you fucking got that WRONG.
Never underestimate how much of an ass Green can be.
So was this dream thing supposed to be his life flashing before his eyes? And what? Was it only showing regrets? Was some higher power being a jack ass and meddling with his head, telling him that if he DID have a second chance he had to fix this shit? What was there to fucking fix!? He was...whatever, damn it, so maybe he had been a dick when he shoved away his friendship with Red.
GAH, he couldn't believe he admitted that shit, oh well.
Either way, maybe he had been a dick when he shoved away that friendship, but what the fuck was he supposed to do? Ignore the fact that his grandfather wanted to use the raven haired male as a replacement for him? Because Green had never matched up to what people wanted. Green hated that Red did. It was like he fell in this fucking category.
Like he walked out a door, and he was destined to win. This shit came easy to him, while Green had to claw for it, crawl on his hands and knees, and still got kicked in the motherfucking face. He hated that, he hated that there were people with talent, that could just DO that shit and not even have to think twice about it. It was like they were born with a fucking instinct for it.
He didn't know what started to pull him from the dream. It was like his mind was suddenly dragging itself into reality. Maybe it was the warmth. It was actually almost painful, in a strange sharp way. Like needles were stabbing his fingers as the feeling reentered them. Green was suddenly thrust rather violently into consciousness.
Not that he woke or anything, er, well he woke but he didn't open his eyes. It seemed like however quickly he'd been able to think in the dream, it wasn't the case out here in reality. His mind seemed slow, sluggish, like he was waking up from the dead more than a sleep. A scarily accurate term, considering how close things had been, but he had no fucking clue about that.
He was, in truth, attempting to get his bearings. His mind quickly darted to his last situation, he'd been out in the snow. Something relatively soft, at least compared to the surface he was lying on now. It was fucking uncomfortable, but he was aware of the fact that it was warm. The heat of a fire was lighting his face, warming him up as well as a blanket wrapped around him.
Okay... Green thought, his mind chugging slowly. He attempted to figure out where he was at the moment, but it seemed to evade him. So I fell asleep in the snow...
A small chill crept up his spine, but he surppressed a shudder. Great, so he'd almost just died. Fan-fucking-tastic. Which meant that the way he DIDN'T die, was that someone had managed to save him. Green almost groaned.
Contrary to popular belief, Green wasn't an idiot. Well he did stupid shit, but he wasn't unintelligent...that is to say...Either way, he managed to put two and two together fairly quickly, to his credit. At least for someone just waking up from the brink of freezing to death, he had no way of knowing just how long he had been out for. All he knew was that he had been about to die, and someone saved him. And since there was literally only one moron (besides himself) that would even be up on this fucking mountain in this weather, he could venture an educated guess as to who it was.
He opened his eyes with a sigh, narrowing them and spotting the rescuer in question on the far wall. He found his eyes widening in a startled manner, for a millisecond there was shock twisting through his veins. A single, stubborn, and strange thought managed to creep up on him, pounce like a tiger and blossom in his brain before he had any chance to stop it.
He looks attractive. Green thought, verdant eyes catching the firelight for a brief moment. He beat the thought back with so much aggression that had he been a mammal he would have been bristling. As it was, it was clear that he was agitated the moment he woke up. Not at all grateful, but then, if Red had expected that he was even more of a moron than Green had initially thought.
"My hero." Green spat the words with a sneer, trying to fall into his regular pattern. But he was caught off guard, and suddenly realized that at that moment he still was. The thought that had flicked through his head had done something more than just burst through unbidden, it had derailed him completely. He wasn't supposed to think that shit.
Fuck, no, the guy was his rival. The guy was a GUY.
Still he was finding it hard to keep up his usual amount of venom. He was shaken, and honestly beginning to realize that the initial energy he had, which let him sit up, had managed to fade. He was trembling, and he found himself in the situation where his pride wrestled with his competence. He wanted to just flip his rival a universal gesture, and storm off into the blizzard and act like he could take care of himself.
Kind of defeating the purpose of even coming up on this damned mountain anyways, he realized. He'd storm out and then have to turn around and come right back, which would be embarrassing. He was suddenly glad for the fact that the cold had slowed his thoughts, that would have been embarrassing as all fuck. Instead he settled for glaring at Red.
And trying not to feel unsettled by his earlier thoughts, and completely failing in that fact. God DAMN it. Green thought, grinding his teeth together. It was because he was angry, and also because he knew he wasn't looking all too threatening OR sullen with his teeth clicking together. Fuck, how had he managed to get MORE cold warming up?
The other thing that was bothering him was the fact that Red had saved him at all. He'd never done the raven any favors, hell, quite the opposite. For the last few years he hadn't talked to the guy, hadn't bothered to know if he was even still alive on top of his stupid mountain, and when he finally trudged up here it was honestly to be an ass. Not that he could do that now, fuck, he'd have to figure out some reason.
"Why the hell did you do it? Why did you save..." He cut himself off before he could add the me his pride stinging a little. Still that question...Green couldn't help it, the dream was still fresh in his mind. His convinced mindset that the raven hated him, it didn't quite fit this. Someone didn't save a person they hated. Then he backtracked and realized that not doing that would be considered murder, "Fuck it, never mind, that was a retarded question."
It didn't change the fact that it bothered him. He glared sullenly at the fire, as if he could make it grow hotter. He was still shuddering, damn it. Green suddenly felt awkward, he'd come here to make an ass out of himself, and maybe challenge Red. He scrambled for some other sort of excuse. Gee, what should I fucking say? 'Sorry about that, was just passing through.' Yeah, right in the middle of fucking nowhere, that makes a world of sense. God DAMN it, why did he grow up looking nice?
The years had been kind to Red, even on this mountain. He didn't look bedraggled, hell he looked...FUCK WHAT THE HELL?
ONTO OTHER THOUGHTS, fucking hell.
"What the hell are you doing up here anyways?" Green said, deciding to take a different route. "This place fucking sucks, and I never took you to be the type that would decide they'd randomly become a fucking hermit."
Sure, Red was the one who was supposed to ask him that, but Green couldn't help himself. He noticed there was a twinge of some emotion that he couldn't place working up in his gut, and it came out in his voice. It took him a moment, and he realized with a jolt that he sounded worried. Pissed, grumpy, and as snarky as ever, but there was worry in his tone.
What the fucking HELL?

To drag your attention from something to another thing at the drop of a pin. For some it was easy as moving a muscle, for others it was extremely difficult. For Red it was natural, for a miniscule movement to capture his attention.
Out in the wilderness you had to be alert.
Oh yeah, survival was all about perceptivity. Bushes rustling could be wild Pokemon waiting to make friends with you.. or rip you apart, limb from limb. See, these were wild Pokemon. They didn't KNOW humanity, they never had a chance to witness the bond between humans and their species.
Of course, Red didn't blame them -- who could? It wasn't like you could say it was their fault. Besides, he would personally take the opinion of a Pokemon over anyone else anyday.. then again that was probably just him talking. They were his best friends.. ever since Green left him in the dust..
Blinking, Red snapped out of his sidetracked thoughts; a spectacular feat for him, considering he was usually calm and focused twenty-four seven. Er, what was the whole point of this? Oh right, being perceptive, being able to pick up slight movements. It was this that made him suddenly zero in on Green's eyes, which had been opened a moment before.
He also picked up the sigh that left Green's lips, which made Red tilt his head to a side slightly. Was he bothered in some way? He didn't really have a reason to be.. oh wait, haha, he nearly died in the snow, he supposed that warranted a sense of irritability. Regardless, his eyes were still locked on his rival's, nearly unnerving in their focus.
The raven noticed, though, that when the brunette's gaze was on him that they seemed a widen a bit, as if in shock. Red blinked calmly back, his cool and calm air drifting easily around him and into place, like it did whenever he was around others. While his eyes were locked on Green's, he noticed something.
His eyes flashed a little, and he tugged his cap over his eyes a little. He's changed. |
He knew this when they were kids.. when they started their Pokemon journeys, each of them independent, taking their shot at becoming known in a world where no one recognized the shadows of dreams forgotten. Green had changed many times over the course of their history. He had become so many things, and then forgotten others. It made Red slightly nostalgic to think about it.. his rival had grown, too, physically. Taller, more fit, more attractive.. Red blinked, the sudden thought not exactly as alarming as you would think. It wasn't like he hadn't thought about this about other people before, he could easily pin whether or not someone was handsome or beautiful. The ex-champion was honest remember? Not to mention he wasn't exactly picky when it came to gender.. not in that way, love had no boundaries right? You couldn't control who you fell in love with. Anyway it was just a thought, it wasn't like he was thinking about Green intimately.. god forbid. The trainer observed Green with amused eyes, before it was wiped away, leaving a clean, blank slate. It was, honestly, kind of creepy. "My hero."[/s] Red's lips tilted to the side in an unamused sort of expression; well, his snarkiness was apparently alright. Actually it was kind of a relief to hear him snarl.. he'd.. he'd missed it. It was odd to think that yes, he had missed Green's venomous personality.. kind of. He was kind of sick of people treating him like he was some sort of legend, deep down he wished that they would treat him like a normal person. Even when his rival had turned into his enemy, he didn't treat him like a prodigy. He treated him like something below him, sure, but it wasn't like he was above him on a pedestal. The champion stared at Green with an emotionless face, like always, ever-silent. He wasn't the most talkative person.. then again the brunette knew that. "Why the hell did you do it? Why did you save... Fuck it, never mind, that was a retarded question."[/s] I couldn't let you die. Red thought, answering his question anyway mentally. Enemy or not, Green was someone he trusted.. kind of. Maybe not. So why the hell did he MATTER? Red found that he couldn't answer that. "What the hell are you doing up here anyways? This place fucking sucks, and I never took you to be the type that would decide they'd randomly become a fucking hermit."[/s] The raven observed his rival with that same blank expression, though a thoughtful little inkling had begun to form in his mind. Why? Why did he come up here, isolate himself? Did Green really not know? A small smirk formed on his lips, the first real expression he had given to any human being since having been up on this mountain. His perceptivity recognized worry, through all the venom, in Green's tone. So he was worried about him was he? That certainly was interesting now wasn't it? Pikachu, who had been stone-still on his trainer's shoulder, stared at Red with a mixture of shock and bewilderment. Absently, as if he didn't realize that he was doing it, the champion stroked the electric rodent's cheek, though his eyes were still locked on Green. He closed them for a moment, and when he opened them, they were nearly thoughtful. Red contemplated for a few heartbeats, then took a deep, inaudible breath through his nose. "To get away." The words were murmured, though easily heard over the crackle of the fire and the silence in the cave. Red looked away out into the cold after stating such a thing, crimson eyes suddenly vacant and almost far away. There was the slightest hint of pain that came with the statement, thought it was unknown if Green could pick it up or not. Pikachu carefully clambered down to his trainer's lap, shooting a glare that could've incinerated lesser creatures at Green. Damn him, he was messing everything up. The peace on top of the mountain, the relaxing wind carressing both Pokemon and trainer.. Pikachu had a sinking feeling that the brunette had shattered that. Shut your mother fucking mouth right now, don't even think of laughing at that. He didn't mean superior in a fucking sexual way you pervert. Erhem. What he meant was that it was irritating, incredibly so. Watching that face not flinch or show any reaction to a damn thing he said made him want to punch Red in the face. Just run up and deck the motherfucker just to get something other than that blank slate of no emotion staring back at him. It was... It was kind of disturbing. Not creepy, so much as... he couldn't quite place it. Something about the fact that Red appeared not to feel anymore bothered him, made his stomach clench and his mind race with ways he could get the stupid ebony-haired male to snap out of it. Like decking him, or maybe shocking him in some other way... Green shied away from his train of thought with a prickle of irritation worming it's way up his shoulder. If someone didn't know any better you'd think he was actually worried about Red. Which... couldn't be the case... could it? Of course not, why the hell would I worry about him? He thought, but another part of him was wondering at the same time why the hell he'd walked up this mountain in the first place. His earlier reasoning had been to fight, but he hadn't once considered choosing any of his Pokemon to face his opponent... Green's attention was snatched from his thoughts when he saw Red's lips twitch up into a smirk. For some retarded reason his heart picked up pace at that smug look. Green puzzled over it briefly, but shoved it aside. Easy, that smirk just pissed him off right? But he hadn't been mad until he decided he probably should be mad because of that god damned smug look but... Whatever, shut the fuck up. This asshole's all about the drama isn't he... Green thought with a slightly flat look as Red shut his eyes. Maybe he thought the words with as much sarcasm and venom as he could possibly put into such inner thinking, but there was no denying, even to himself, that he was hanging on the trainer's words. He wanted to know. Why the hell had he gone up to the top of this mountain? "To get away." Even though barely spoken above a whisper, Green managed to catch the muttered words. The brunette blinked for a moment, half wanting to smack the stupid raven upside the head. To get away? From what? Other people? What the hell? He'd never quite pegged Red for being the hermit type, but this mountain thing had him discombobulated on exactly who Red was. Maybe he never really knew in the first place, even when they were kids and friends. Had the two of them really ever known each other? Like... did Red ever realize how much it hurt when his grandfather doted on him instead of Green? The trainer grit his teeth, but found his emerald eyes narrowing slightly. Had he imagined it, or had there been... pain in those crimson irises. He turned his gaze so that it was staring outside as well, looking the same way his rival was. Suddenly even the small chance that he was going to battle Red was gone, when was the last time that somebody just dropped in for a fucking visit? Was he... lonely up here? And if he is? Green thought, wrapping his arms around himself and suppressing a shudder. Why give a fuck?He couldn't answer that question for himself to be honest with you. The gym leader snorted, irritated suddenly as he turned to glare at Red. "Would it kill you to let people know you haven't fucking frozen to death or some shit?" He finally blurted, not at all sure where that came from, he continued, a little desperate to make sure that it didn't seem like he was the one longing for the trainer to check in. "People keep fucking thinking I've got tabs on you, and won't leave me the hell alone."He should have left it at that, but he was suddenly leaning forward, his green eyes flickering with a fire that was almost akin to fury. "God damn it you dumb ass, I get that you want to get away. Whatever, people fucking suck sometimes." He tried to veil the bitterness in his tone, but it came out anyways, "What I don't understand is why the hell you have to fucking isolate yourself from everyone including-"He cut himself off with a growl, biting back the tail end of his sentence and shoving his hands in his pockets and hunkering closer to the fire. Including me... Because even if he and Red fought all the time, at least he knew he could have counted on the raven if he ever needed him. Okay well now he did. Back then, though, when he was just beginning to adjust to his mountain home he would have given anything, anything at all, to return to his mother, the person who loved him. Maybe even make things right with Green. Who knew, he was but a child back then. His acute cherry irises studied the brunette across from him suddenly, flashing over to the male with something like interest as he wrapped his arms around himself.
Was the gym leader cold? The Kanto champion suddenly felt the odd urge to embrace him, to share body heat, nothing more. It wasn't like he meant it intimately, it was the only way to survive out here. Produce heat or perish, in this barren landscape you had to do one or the other. Red's Pokemon assisted him in keeping warm; it was a handy cycle, Charizard was extremely useful for lighting fires..
That didn't mean that was all the dinosaur-like creature was for. He loved the Fire-type, like all of his Pokemon. He held them close to his heart, the ones who held fast when Green faded out of his life as a friend and came back clear as watercolor paint, only as an enemy. Childish memories swept away, to be replaced with bitter new ones. The raven almost choked up, winced instead. He had to keep his facade up, couldn't let it break.
Still, his eyes were on his rival, and he was wondering if it would bother him if he went over and shared body heat with him. Red supposed it would, Green had never been much of a huggy person, and when he hated the champion it probably wasn't the best plan to waltz on up to the brunette and wrap his arms around him. So he settled for pressing his lips together in a flat line and absently tickling Pikachu's ears, who was looking up at him with worry in his chocolate-colored eyes.
It was Green who broke the silence first, and Red arched a delicate ebony brow as the silence shattered like a mirror crumpling under a heavy blow. "Would it kill you to let people know you haven't fucking frozen to death or some shit?" Interest flitted into those blank crimson eyes, and the raven wondered distantly if it was Green missing him. "People keep fucking thinking I've got tabs on you, and won't leave me the hell alone." |
[/s] The raven's face suddenly dropped to a flat expression; obviously that wasn't the case. Then the gym leader opposite him was suddenly leaning in close, a fire blazing in those familiar verdant eyes that made Red pay closer attention. Everything else was suddenly shoved into a corner, even his best friend, the electric mouse on his lap. Without even knowing it he was leaning forward as well, as if he wanted to catch words he was murmuring. "God damn it you dumb ass, I get that you want to get away. Whatever, people fucking suck sometimes."[/s] Red tilted his head to a side, registering the bitterness in his rival's tone. Did he understand how misunderstood he was? How much of a difference there was between him and the common everyday man? It almost made Red's heart ache, that familiar pain of being realized as a legend and not a person. Dammit he wasn't a machine, he was skin and bone, he had feelings (though he chose not to show them most of the time). "What I don't understand is why the hell you have to fucking isolate yourself from everyone including-"[/s] The brunette suddenly cut himself off, and the raven couldn't help but wonder for a moment, yet again. Including who? Red focused, attempting to read Green's body language, something that would clue him in to just who was so important. His rival didn't seem too eager to give anything else away though; he shrugged closer to the fire with something like a growl of what the Kanto-Johto champion thought was annoyance, irritation. His free hand clenched into a fist, a miniscule movement, but eh, it was there. "I came up here to make everything easier." The statement seemed to be an addition to what he had said earlier, though this time his eyes were focused on his rival's, sparking with a flame for some odd reason. They were alive, burning. The thin male was leaning close to the fire, closer to the brunette. Though his face was a clean slate, his irises spoke differently. His voice seemed to crack a little with bitterness, and he clenched his fist harder so that his nails dug half-moons into the palm of his hand. "Isolating myself.. it was easier for me. And for you, Green." At this his eyebrows inched down a little, the emotion of anger beginning to form on his face as well as a dash of sorrow. Red didn't raise his voice at all though, it was the same quiet tone, appearing calm on the surface. "You hated me." His voice suddenly took on a slightly accusing edge, and the raven leaned back, the fire in his eyes extinguished. Empty once more. "You still do don't you?" It was half a question, half a statement, though his heart was aching for some odd reason. The champion let out a sigh, shaking his head and dropping his eyes to the electric mouse once more, scratching behind the creature's ears, just the way he liked. "I came up here to make everything easier." Red's words startled him a little. Mostly because, in all honesty, he hadn't quite expected them. Hadn't he just been fuming over how little the male was speaking after all? How the hell did one expect to socialize properly if they just stared at people like a creep? Not that Red really looked like a creep. He just didn't look like he felt, which was a little off-putting but not really freaky. Still, that had to be the most his rival had said since he had woken up in the cave, at least in one full sentence. Green glanced up though, curiosity flickering in his eyes. And just... what the hell did he mean by that? Make everything easier? There was a mesmerizing amount of fire burning in the red of his irises, and Green found that he was frozen to the spot by the sheer intensity of it. Why? Green thought, not entirely sure of what exactly it was that he was even questioning. The intense look in Red's eyes? Or maybe it was the way it made his pulse race, and how he couldn't seem to tear his gaze away from his rival's no matter how hard he tried. "Isolating myself... it was easier for me. And for you, Green." Red said, and Green found himself feeling a wave of complete and total fury at those words. He was surprised by the intensity of it. You don't know anything. His mind shrieked at the black-haired male sitting across from him. Was he denying it though? Denying that Red leaving meant that he wasn't always sitting in his shadow anymore... no, it was certainly harder for others to compare him to the raven when he was all the way on Mt. Silver. Little more than a legend even. That was the thing, Red's leaving had, in fact, at least put the constant comparison of the two aside. But that didn't mean people still didn't do it every now and again. But did that mean things were easier for him? Green was surprised because he felt a massive stab of indignance toward the words that Red had just spoken, as if someone had flat out called him a terrible trainer or said his mother was a whore. He was insulted, for some reason, and almost hurt. He couldn't explain it, and really only knew that he had the suddenly overwhelming urge to punch Red right in the face. "You hated me." Red said, and Green felt his eyes widen slightly. He wasn't entirely sure what was more surprising... the fact that Red had just said that to him, or the immediate response that rose up in his mind. No... He was thinking, and it was odd. Because he was pretty sure he'd convinced himself that he couldn't stand Red. He was pretty damn sure that he had made himself hate the raven haired male that was sitting across from him right now. Yet that was the immediate response that his mind conjured, before he could even think on the words really. "You still do don't you?" It was somehow both a question and a statement that left Red's lips, and for some reason it made Green's stomach twist up in an uncomfortable knot. He dropped his green eyes to the fire, and didn't answer... not because he was trying to be a sullen ass (for once) but because he couldn't think of any words to say. He didn't blame Red for thinking that, hell, he thought that himself. He was pretty sure he did hate Red... was though. The thing was, god damn it... Fine. Hate was a strong word anyways. Hate suggested that you wanted that person to die, that you wouldn't care if they disappeared off the face of the earth, or hell, would be happy about it. So he didn't hate Red. He just didn't know how to say that he didn't. For some reason he hated that. God, there was a lot of motherfucking hate going on. It was so bitter that he felt like he was going to throw up or some shit. He shuddered. He wasn't the sort of person that dealt well with situations like this. God damn it, he just sucked at social shit. He came across as an ass, so people thought he was an ass. Plain and simple. He didn't get sentimental. That wasn't his style. Yet he could feel Red's question hovering in the silent air, and he hated it so fucking much. Hated that Red had even asked that, and worse, hated that there had been something like bitterness in his tone before leading to that. I should have stayed home. Green thought, and wondered if Red would follow him if he just got up and left. Of course, that'd be really stupid. Just because he'd probably freeze to death. So he had about three choices. Keep the fucking awkward silence stretching between the two of them, leave and die in the snow, or try and figure out a way to explain that he didn't hate Red, he just wanted to. Yeah. It was kind of fucking depressing that the one that involved death was looking the most appealing. "God damn it." He growled, running his fingers through his brown hair for a moment and shutting his eyes. "I didn't... fuck... I don't... hate you."He snapped his eyes up and glared, his green eyes flickered with something close to fury... or maybe even passion. "Get this straight, alright? It's not... fuck, it's not you. It's how everyone treats you." Green suddenly realized that he couldn't seem to stop talking. Because he hadn't quite said exactly why he treated Red the way he did... to anyone before. "It's like... you fucking walk on water to all of them, and you don't. At least, I don't think you can. If you can then we're getting rich off of that shit." Green blinked, before growling, "The point is is that everyone thinks you're a fucking god, even Gramps and..."He trailed off. People didn't think he was great, maybe they thought he was a challenging gym leader, but whatever. The most he was known for was being an asshole, and not as good as Red. "Besides, if I hated you I wouldn't have dragged my ass through all that snow and shit just to make sure you weren't dead." Green snapped, rolling his verdant colored eyes toward the ceiling of the cave for a moment. He sighed after a heartbeat, glowering at Red again after a moment. "Whatever, I get it." Green mumbled, "I'm no good at acting nice, I fucking suck at it to put it a little mildly. But don't say I fucking hate you with so much confidence because you don't have any fucking clue how I feel about you." ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ early morning, city brakes i've been calling for years and years and years and you never left me no messages never sent me no letters you got some kind of nerve taking all of my love [/style]

WORDS. 1,099 LYRICS. you found me / the fray COMMENTS. how you feeeeel about him green? -sloooow grin- TAGGED. red OTHER COLORS. red / A30303

Which was odd, because Red usually didn't say downright retarded things. But when Green dropped his eyes to the fire in front of the two, he had some sort of inkling that it offended his rival in some way.
The thing was, he felt almost bad about it. Nearly ashamed. Why? |
he thought, bewildered to be completely honest with you, Isn't it the truth? Maybe it was just the way Green reacted, but he couldn't help the guilt that was suddenly shadowing him like a dark cloud. Red tugged his cap over his eyes more, hiding them from the other male. He wanted, more than anything, to have any sort of fight or anything cleared up between them. Almost desperately he wanted Green, his best friend. Yeah, he supposed he still had Blue, but she.. she didn't know where she was and she'd probably be pissed as all hell at him.. she would certainly harm him, but only because she'd been worried.. Green though.. Even though the three of them were best friends, he always thought that the brunette was special to him. Even when the other trainer thought differently about him. Thinking back on it now, he wondered just what he felt. Was it companionship.. or something deeper than that? Red closed his eyes, overwhelmed suddenly by the flood of emotion that was suddenly loosed within him. Dammit, not right here. In private, alone, he could show as much emotion as he wanted. With that thought in mind he shut said emotions in a box, locked it up, and shoved it under the bed with another emotionless mask on his face, though his blood-colored eyes were a flurry of different ones. Odd, how he couldn't keep his feelings in check when his rival was near. His eyes were still hidden under the brim of his cap, though his eyebrows rose in response to Green's words, the ones he was suddenly speaking. "God damn it. I didn't... fuck... I don't... hate you."[/s] Red blinked, his eyes widening. He was.. wrong then. Despite everything that they'd been through, the obvious dislike he'd been shown? Did he believe that? The raven was shocked to find that he did, in fact, believe that Green didn't hate him. So was it a misconception? Or.. The champion tilted his head back slightly so that he could view the gym leader. He blinked once, the brunette was glaring at him with a fire in his eyes, not unlike the one in his own earlier. "Get this straight, alright? It's not... fuck, it's not you. It's how everyone treats you."[/s] Okay, he wasn't expecting that. The thin male blinked again, not quite sure what to think. He was suddenly tense, his frame held like he was getting ready for some sort of assault. Maybe it was a verbal one.. but no, that didn't even cross his mind. Red focused on his rival, sitting across from him, their eyes suddenly locked. His gaze was intense, focused, waiting for the words that his rival would say.. he had more to say right? "It's like... you fucking walk on water to all of them, and you don't. At least, I don't think you can. If you can then we're getting rich off of that shit."[/s] Red just stared at him like he was lacking in the mental department a little. He was blown away, underneath that emotionless front. Did he understand? How much of a difference there was? Everyone treated him like he was a legend, talked about him like he was some sort of idol. "The point is is that everyone thinks you're a fucking god, even Gramps and..."[/s] Consider him shocked beyond all belief; Green had managed to pin him with such accuracy that it surprised him. I mean sure, it was a pretty common assumption to make, but he had believed that this same person hated him, didn't care enough to even give him a thought once in a while (he probably did, Red just didn't know). It meant a lot, somehow. Red's eyes calmed, were actually.. soft. His eyes were almost unbelievably gentle as he stared at the Virdian gym leader. "Besides, if I hated you I wouldn't have dragged my ass through all that snow and shit just to make sure you weren't dead."[/s] Green sighed, rolling his eyes, but returning them to Red's after a moment. "Whatever, I get it. I'm no good at acting nice, I fucking suck at it to put it a little mildly. But don't say I fucking hate you with so much confidence because you don't have any fucking clue how I feel about you."[/s] Red tilted his head to a side, curious. How he felt about him.. what exactly was that? How did he feel about the champion, that had been shadowing his best friend on complete accident? The raven suddenly picked up the golden-furred mouse in his lap and set him aside, much to the creature's surprise; Pikachu squeaked in response to the action, and stared after his trainer as the raven suddenly rose, a graceful and swift movement. Almost slowly he walked over to Green, looking up at his slightly taller friend with an arched brow. "Green." His name was said almost fondly now, all traces of accusation or bitterness from earlier gone. Far, far gone. "If you don't hate me.. then how do you feel about me?" His tone was curious, though there was something underneath that, something undecipherable. He didn't quite realize how close he was to the other male; it was almost uncomfortable, but for Red it was oddly thrilling. What was wrong with him? You know those moments where you kind of just realize that, oh hell, you just said something that you didn’t really mean to say? You know, usually they happen at dinner parties or some shit. You’re like, sitting around the table at some family get together or whatever and something just pops out of your mouth and you’re left sitting there going: “Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit. Fuck, fuck, fuuuuuck.” Like oh, at Granny Mabel’s ninety-ninth birthday party, while you’re passing the salt you suddenly randomly blurt out, “Oh hey gran, I might be a transvestite.” And suddenly the whole room is quiet and you’re sitting there going, “Okay, what the HELL I didn’t even have to SAY that. Why did that even OCCUR.” You don’t know, but suddenly your whole family is staring at you. Hell. Maybe you even meant it as a fucking JOKE. Whatever the reason, it’s something that just shouldn’t have been said, ever, at that moment in time. Like. No. Just no. Then Granny Mabel keels over and starts twitching and she has a heart attack and you killed her on her damn birthday you stupid fucking idiot because you couldn’t keep your mouth shut. Yeah that shit happens in real life. Anyways, Green was feeling like that. The moment he actually had the chance to hear the last bit of his words he realized what they were. An opening. God fucking damn it, it was like he was opening the front door and saying, “Sup’ everybody, come on inside.” The front door of his… fucking feelings. FUCK YOU IT DOESN’T HAVE TO MAKE SENSE. He’s Green Motherfucking Oak. Go fuck yourself. As soon as he said the words… no, it wasn’t really as soon as he said them, so much as when Red’s head tipped to the side a little that it sunk in that it was some sort of gateway for questioning. That statement left room to pry, and god damn it, he suddenly felt something like panic. Because to be honest with you, he didn’t really know the answer himself. He had the oddest urge to run the hell away, when Red suddenly stood up. He moved like a fucking CAT, there was a stealth and grace to how the champion shifted his weight that made others admire him. Not Green, fuck you. Green admires the mirror, not… fine. Fuck, he admired him. Whatever. Happy now? Go try to win the lottery now you dick. It wasn’t like the guy was moving at a very fast pace. In fact, he was taking his sweet ass time getting over to him. Green still felt the weirdest sensation that he wanted to run away though. Yeah, because he’d live THAT down. Run screaming into the fucking blizzard just because Red was WALKING towards him. Let’s see how well THIS shit plays out. Then Red was standing there, and what the hell, why did that make him feel like he’d just dropped off the top of a rollercoaster? He didn’t know whether he wanted to step backwards, or to stay still. He ended up doing the latter, just because if he backed away he was half afraid he’d full on run outside. Again, he wasn’t going to live that down if that happened. "Green." Aw, hell no. That wasn’t… was that fondness in his tone? Green eyed Red uncomfortably, suddenly not knowing what to think. He’d spent so much time and energy making it look… feel, as if he hated the raven-haired male. God damn it, but he didn’t. He’d shattered any hope of holding that illusion with what he’d just said. Before he even had the chance to think about it, he’d said it. Sorry Granny Mabel. "If you don't hate me…” Red said, and Green swallowed. They were… awfully close. He found that his heart was beating rather hard, and he felt dizzy. God damn it, why? It wasn’t like they hadn’t been… in personal spaces before. As kids they used to wrestle and shit all the time. Granted, wrestling now would have been very… er… what? He didn’t want to wrestle with Red, FUCK YOU. Shut up. “…then how do you feel about me?"Oh fuck. There it was, Granny Mabel’s heart attack in the flesh. God damn, what was he supposed to say to that? He struggled to think, but Red was so close that it was making it hard to think straight. He had a rather wild urge to deck the guy just to give him space to think. Fuck, he didn’t know and he wasn’t saying anything which was weird as all fuck. Red, sure, quiet guy now. We all get that. Green however, was not a quiet person. Like, ever. He was the opposite of subtle folks. He did not DO subtle. Getting hit by a TRUCK is more subtle than Green. Right, we get it, enough over using the word subtle. He found himself staring at Red, and feeling something like the blind panic that a student feels when the teacher’s called on them the moment they weren’t paying attention to anything going on. He made a choked sound in the back of his throat, and his cheeks flooded with color suddenly. Oh god, why was he blushing? You didn’t blush when guys got close to you, not unless you happened to be gay. Oh. Fuck. Was he gay? Oh fuck, was he gay? Not that there was anything wrong with being gay, but was he gay? Oh SHIT. What the fuck? What the fuck? Okay, calm down Green. Seriously dude, now was not the time to start randomly questioning his sexuality. Because-- “Oh shit… Red am I gay?” Green asked, literally before he could stop himself. Fuck, fuck, fuck. If Granny Mabel had a chance in hell that that heart attack wouldn’t kill her, he’d just completely decked her in the face or something and got rid of that little ray of hope. Why did he not fucking THINK before he SAID shit. Because REALLY. You put that with the last question Red asked, and what do you get? Seriously, this is easier than third grade math folks. FUCK. “I mean… fuck, that is… fuck. Um.” You know it’s bad when Green can’t even babble, “It’s not like that isn’t a legit question I mean… MOTHERFUCK. No. Just. Shut. The. Fuck. Up.”And because that was really the best thing he’d said since he woke up, he took his own advice. Warily Red searched his eyes; what he saw there rivaled panic that you would feel at a bank in the middle of being robbed. His rival was not one for silence, and the champion tilted his head to a side curiously, wondering where the other male's mind had flitted off to. It was odd to hear nothing but silence between them -- Green Oak wasn't one often quiet.
There was a flush of color, suddenly, on the brunette's cheeks, and Red arched an ebony eyebrow, curious as to what would suddenly embarrass the gym leader so much that blood would be rushing to the skin there. Green made something like a choked noise in the back of his throat, and the champion blinked a few times, thoroughly confused. It wasn't like him to be so flustered, even if the raven didn't quite know what was on his mind.
If he had to exercise an educated guess, though, it would be that it had something to do with asking about his opinion of him. He wondered, a bit briefly, if it was such a difficult thing to answer. If Green didn't hate him, he liked him.. right? It wasn't complex, he didn't ask him to go into detail necessarily.. just, if he liked him or not, basically. The champion's eyes were locked on the gym leader's jade ones, a stirring of emotion within them: interest.
“Oh shit… Red am I gay?” |
[/s] The words caught the black-haired man off-guard, and he had to take some time to process the words before even beginning to consider what value they might've had. Red blinked, then realization dawned on him. Well then, put it like that.. wait, in response to his question earlier? It made the champion wonder a little. Was Green possibly homosexual for him? Denial would explain the hate he had felt toward him.. dislike, whatever. But at such an early age? Red found it a bit difficult to believe that the brunette was gay, partly because he couldn't ever remember Green really paying any attention to, you know, men in a sexual manner. He could, though, picture the other male shoving the possibility away fiercely, simply because he wanted to hold onto whatever shred of masculinity he had left. The thought was somewhat amusing and as a result, a small smirk dared to creep up on his lips. So, case and point, his rival might've been gay. The thing that bothered him most was the possibility that Green could've been gay for him. “I mean… fuck, that is… fuck. Um.”[/s] The brunette was sputtering, trying to come up with some sort of explanation he assumed. Red was still stoic, the small smile from earlier wiped clean from his face. Right now he was focused on the other male's words and had yet to actually give any implication of how he was feeling. “It’s not like that isn’t a legit question I mean… MOTHERFUCK. No. Just. Shut. The. Fuck. Up.”[/s] Red tilted his head to a side once more. So it was an actual question he wanted answered? The champion fidgeted a little, the only sign of discomfort. How was he supposed to ask? He wasn't sure how asking him about finding men attractive was supposed to go down, for all he knew Green would just throw a fit and storm back out into the howling blizzard outside.. a stupid move on his part, but it was Green after all. He did things.. that weren't exactly intelligent. Still, he mulled this over, jaw working with his thoughts. An idea came into his head, crazy and reckless.. but it would answer two questions instead of one. Eying his rival warily, he stepped closer to him so that they were basically touching in terms of bodies. He suddenly felt as if it were hotter than normal within the stone cave, and Red leaned close to Green, their faces nearly as close as their bodies. He was ever-cautious, just waiting to get decked, when he wrapped an arm around the brunette's neck and pulled his face closer until his lips were on the other male's. The champion was almost nervous, but kept his cool exterior; yet, that seemed to vanish when he connected their lips. Red blinked, then let his eyes slide closed, leaning into the kiss that he had initiated with some excitement in his veins. There was suddenly electricity under his fingertips where he was touching Green, and he felt so alive at the moment that it was like he had been so far off all of his life.. well, not location-wise, but just.. in terms of the sense of touch. He felt like he could go run a mile and not get tired, then run another one. He felt like just holding his rival close with something like fondness and running his fingers through his brown hair. Still, after a few moments with his lips on Green's, he pulled away, crimson eyes bright but his face still void of emotion. "If you felt something during that," he whispered softly, huskily, "then you're gay." With that, he stepped away, moving his arm and adjusting his hat with odd neutrality.
